Bengal School of Technology & Management( BSTM) is an outcome of the ideas, dream and creativity of a group of enterprising persons who got together and began a most ambitious programme of philanthropy. In this direction a non-profit making trust viz. Supreme Educational Development & Charitable Organization (SEDCO) was established to undertake the noble venture of rendering services to the society through establishment of Technological and Professional Institutions of a high standard and also to produce professionals of the highest quality who will be able to cope with the challenges of ever evolving industrial needs of the country. The Institute is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) for imparting various management and professional education in various disciplines and to impart highest possible standard of technical education to the young aspirants of our country and also to instill in them and make them committed to the moral value and ethics thereby making them technologically superior and ethically strong. BSTM is a sibling of Bengal School of Technology a leading Pharmacy college in the State and also of SKFGI Group of Institutions having Sir. J. C. Bose School of Engineering and Dr. P.C. Mahalanabish School of Management within its fold and laid its footprint in the educational arena of the state from the first year of its operation.

The School presently offers BBA(H), BCA(H), BBM(H) in Hospitality Management(BHSM) and BBM(H) in Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM) courses which are structured according to the prevailing International Standards. To meet the challenges of the growing and changing needs of industry the college aims at preparing its students through delivering high quality technical education blended with research and training to cater the needs of the Industry they serve and also their life long learning. The confidence of students are built up by exposing them to hand -on - training and case studies The quality of the faculty members of the Institute as well as the facilities provided by it is reflected in the commendable results made our students in the semester exams. conducted by WBUT. The Institute is reckoned as one of the leading College in West Bengal and receiving overwhelming support and confidence from all concerned ,its students, their guardians because of its commitment to quality education and track records. Infrastructure

The Institute has modern infrastructure and technological support to facilitate teaching, learning and personality development of its future managers and technocrats. It supports campus life with serenity and hygiene facilities right from the classrooms to library and labs up to the hostel. The College has development state-of-the-art infrastructure over the years with its well equipped spacious and well lit lecture hall, an ultra modern auditorium, a well stocked library, a high technology equipped computer and language lab, food production lab, bakery & confectionary, food & beverage service lab front office and houses-keeping labs separate hostels for boys and girls etc. within premises.

Campus

The School is located on the Delhi Road, Sugandha, Hooghly about 50 kms from Kolkata on Kolkata –Delhi Highway, the campus is just 4 kms away from Chuchura Rly station on Howrah-Burdwan Main line and easily commutable from Kolkata and other cities both by road and train service.

A beautiful and serene campus is needed for healthy learning. The campus of BST with aesthetically designed building, its stimulating environment and serenity are all very inspiring for the body and the mind. The greenery around the colossal campus provides you mental ease to assimilate the study with peace and tranquility. The institute has all modern resources needed to provide quality education and facilitate better learning.

The Institute has separate academic and administrative blocks, cafeteria, library, computer labs, Hospitality management related labs, spacious classrooms and separate hostels for boys and girls. It has separate room to facilitate guest lecture, seminars, workshop and conference. Facility for indoor and outdoor games is also available. The Institute has its own bus service linking to the nearest Rly. Station. A satellite interactive has been installed at the college under the supervision of ISRO.

The Culture

In addition to impart high standard of knowledge and skill a major thrust is also given in inculcating the culture rooted in the values, ethics, mutual respect, personal maturity and integrity, teamwork and social concern amongst the faculty, managerial and ground staff and student community thereby making the students technologically superior and ethically strong.

Methodology

The college offers both in-depth theory and intensive practical classes in all the major operational subjects. The attendance and performance of the students are monitored continuously and regular class tests are conducted and appraisals with attendance percentage and marks are sent to parents.
